PersonalI was born in Tokyo, Japan where I spent the first six years of my life. As a child, I was bi-lingual and had many wonderful experiences and influence from the Japanese culture.
My parents then moved back to Hawai'i where I was raised in Kane'ohe on the island of O'ahu. My mother is originally from Hawai'i and I have many family ties there. We try to go home at least once a year to visit and spend time in the islands. I feel blessed to have such a rich heritage from my Hawaiian ancestors. My wonderful husband, Richard and I currently live in Centerville, Utah which is about 15 miles north of Salt Lake City. Our awesome son, his beautiful wife and darling daughters also live in Utah. My father was born and raised in Salt Lake City so there are many family connections here as well as ties to early pioneer settlers. We enjoy traveling domestically and internationally….especially if it is a cruise! We have relished traveling to Venice, Rome, Naples, Athens, Mykonos, Ephesus, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Paris and Normandy. We've been back to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Can't leave out Mexico, Bahamas and Caribbean. There are many other places we would like to visit. However, after this pandemic, we may not have the travel bug biting us as hard. I am fascinated with languages. I still speak a little Japanese and have tried to learn words and phrases in Hawaiian, Italian, Portuguese and French. I enjoy gardening, yard work, canning, baking, watching international shows, and being creative on the computer. I decided to learn Camtasia during Covid....Love it! I do have a soft spot for animals. We can all learn lessons about character from them. Other

ProfessionalAt one time I wanted to be an international buyer using my Japanese language and degree. Well, that never happened. While my husband was finishing his schooling at BYU, I got a job with WordPerfect Corporation in their Network and Installations group and then in their Macintosh group. That happily launched me in a totally different direction.
I teach in corporate and academic environments. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to train employees from many organizations and companies. Here is a sampling:
